Summer Vibes with Unique Vintage - Hamilton Dress

Unique Vintage sent me a special dress to style, and I must say, it is a new favorite of mine.  The Hamilton Dress screams summer to me and comes in several different color ways.  I choose the black/white color way.

I decided to style this dress with hints of red, and a few of my favorite summer time staples.  Red Espadrilles, and big hair flower and a snood.

Southern Missouri summers can be kind of brutal.  We have heat AND humidity, and right now, that is exactly what we are experiencing.  A hair snood is a simple way to keep medium to long hair off your neck and back to help stay cool, and it is a 'vintage; way to not just throw your hair into a ponytail.

The Hamilton Dress is a light weight cotton and has a very full skirt.  If it were not 90+ degrees here, I would say it would be lovely to pair it with a petticoat to showcase the fullness of the skirt, but alas I forgo petticoats in the summer because it is too damn hot.

If you are between sizes, or have a large bust, I recommend to size up in this dress style.  While the bust line is forgiving, it is tight.  I ordered an XL to accommodate my bust measurement.  The waist was a little big, but I don't mind, I a usually belt all dresses.

As far as dressing for this style, you cannot go wrong with red, red lips and a big cat eye.

The Hamilton Dress is on the website for $88 right now, and some of the other color ways are on sale! Be sure to check it out.

I will be posting another blog about how to style this dress a little less classic and how to transition this closet staple into fall, or cooler weather.
