Where are you from: Battle Creek, MI. We are the Cereal City Capital of the world. Home of Tony the Tiger and The Battle Creek Cereal Killers Roller Derby Team...(which, I might add that I have the pleasure of being a founding member!)
Favorite photographer to work with: Autumn Luciano will always be my favorite. She is so creative, fun and full of knowledge!
The first image attached was taken at my very first pinup shoot. It was taken by Autumn Luciano at GasAxe Garage. MUAH by Stephanie Strowbridge. I fell in love with this 52 Chevy the minute I sat my fanny on that smooth white interior. That was the day I knew that I had found something that I was destined to be a part of.
The other photos are some of my favorites from the work I have done with Dynamite Dames Photography. MUAH by Vintage Flair. These were taken at GasAxe Garage as well! Those girls are a riot! I love working with them.
How long have you been modeling/enjoying photography?: for about 3 years now
Who are your favorite Pinup Models? Past or present inspiration? My favorite pinup models are the ones that I have actually had the chance to get to know personally. The women in the Michigan Pinup Scene are so amazing! I have had the chance to become friends and share beneficial knowledge and experience from several of them. They are such a treat to be around and enjoy similar interests with. My favorite Michigan Dames are Valerie Voiture, Frankie Louveles, Leena Allure, Suzy Starliner and Eve of Destruction. They are all unique in their own way and are full of inspiration. I really do look up to all of them. If I were to choose someone from the past, I would love to sit down with Lucille Ball over a cup of coffee.
What is some of your favorite clothing lines? Favorite Designers? It's really just a matter of what fits you in all the right places and shows of the way you feel inside I would say. I'm not really a fan of brand names, but I sure do like a lot of Bernie Dexter's swag.
If you could shoot with any photographer, past or present, who would it be? oh hands down, I would love to be shot in Technicolor by Harry Warnecke. I dream of being shot in the way he captured Lucy's colorful personality.
What is your favorite color and why? RED...especially if it has a candy finish ;)
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who would it be? June Carter Cash...I would love to hear what it was like to grow up they way she did and meet her soul mate. Their story makes me melt. I am a hopeless romantic and love to hear stories of how two people cannot live without each other.

Occupation: Right now, I'm a stay at home mom. I just finished my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and was previously a soldier/mental health specialist in the Army.
Where are you from: I'm originally from Illinois. No, not anywhere near Chicago. I'm from a very small town surrounded by farm land. Yep, there is some country in me.
Favorite photographer to work with: My favorite is Erin Shephard from Lone Star Pin Up. She was the first I ever worked with and I feel most comfortable with her. She makes the whole process fun and easy while still producing some of the best quality photo's I've seen in the Pinup world.
Artist/Photographer/location of featured photo(s):
Credits to the photo's provided go to Erin Shephard of Lone Star Pin Up and Blood and Glitter Makeup (One of the BEST makeup artists and an awesome lady overall), except for the one of me as a mermaid. I did my hair and makeup for that session.
Tell me about your featured photo(s). When were they taken? Why are they your favorite? The first photo is of me at the Stepford Wives shoot. This was taken at the Lone Star Pin Up studio by Erin Shephard and MUAH by Blood and Glitter Makeup. I loved this set! It was so cute and made me hate my own kitchen : ) The second picture is me at the High Priestess shoot. This was also taken at the Lone Star Pin Up studio by Erin Shephard and MUAH by Blood and Glitter Makeup. With the costume and the MUAH, I really did feel like a goddess of some sort. I love how this close up turned out! The third picture is of me as a mermaid. This is a remake of a beautiful painting of Bettie Page by Olivia De Berardinis. The tail was custom made by Tiffany Hill of Sew She Said. It was so awkward getting into the tail, but what girl doesn't want to be a mermaid?! Dream come true : )
How long have you been modeling/enjoying photography? I've always enjoyed photography. I adored pin up models like Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page. I never thought of myself as the modeling type, but about a year ago, I took some photos with Lone Star Pin Up and haven't looked back since. It is definitely my style and my love.
Who are your favorite Pinup Models? Past or present inspiration? Bettie Page is my absolute favorite. Not only is she gorgeous, but if you ever watch and videos of her, you can see how her personality just shines! She came from a rough life and became one of the most famous pinups in history. I've done so much research on her and have looked at so many photos of her. I feel like I know her almost and she is simply amazing. I also love Marilyn Monroe not only for her beauty, but for how misunderstood she was. I'm currently reading her biography and am forming a deep respect for how strong she was until the end. Some of my present inspirations include Masuimi Max, Bernie Dexter, and Mosh. They are gorgeous and aren't afraid to push boundaries. Of course, I cannot forget the beautiful Katty Rascal De Lux who's photos I just adore. Lovely!
What is some of your favorite clothing lines? Favorite Designers? I LOVE Unique Vintage, Bettie Page Clothing, and Pin Up Girl Clothing. The clothes fit so nicely and look amazing!
If you could shoot with any photographer, past or present, who would it be? To be honest, I'm happy with the photographer I use right now. Yeah, I'd love to be photographed by the likes of Bunny Yeager, but I don't want to just follow in the steps of other pinups. I want to carve my own path and I feel that Lone Star Pin Up is the best for me.
What is your favorite color and why? I think I look the best in red, but LOVE the color teal. It is such a calming color and isn't very common.
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who would it be? Oh, well this is just a tough question. I'd have a group dinner with Bettie Page, Abbie Hoffman, Joey Ramone, Jonathan Davis, Neil Peart, Janis Joplin, Marilyn Monroe, Tim Burton...and the list goes on and on. I'd just have to rent out an entire restaurant or have a barbecue because I could never just choose a few.
How did you get your model name? Like I said earlier, I really want to carve out my own path so my model name is my real name. My full name is Anna Alicia Kamps. The only nickname that really stuck with me through the years was Anna Banana and I don't think that is a good pinup name : )
This store is full of vintage love and cute kitschy wonderment! Each item is handmade with love, and shipped directly to you for your enjoyment!
Where are you from? I'm from the Lonestar State, more specifically San Antonio How did you get your store started, What inspires you? My store started on a whim really. I found a picture of an original 50's bathroom on pinterest that had a bunch of chalkware fish and mermaids on the wall and I was in LOVE. I started searching high and low for vintage chalkware but I realized really quick how expensive it was. Seriously 100's of dollars for a set of mermaids. There was just NO WAY I was going to spend that much. Well, one day I came across a set of mermaids for cheap and I bought them. Then I researched different ways to reproduce them and also different types of plaster as well. Everything from craft plaster of paris to professional art plaster. I finally found the perfect materials and it's been all fun ever since. As for inspiration, everything kitschy vintage. I love the colors and characters and how everything was just so innocent and fun. I LOVE pinup so I try to give my mermaids and pinup girls the red pouty lips, long eye lashes and red nails to match. How long have you been open and what is some of your favorite items? Like I said, this was all on a whim. As I type this, I have been "open" for only a few hours!! o.0 what celebrity would you most like to wear your items? Well, you can't wear them but every celebrity that I would want to hang my art in their home is unfortunately no longer with us. The only living celebrity would maybe be Zooey Deschanel. if you had to use only one word to describe yourself, what would it be? Hmmm... one word? CRAFTY!! haha what is your biggest pet peeve? Ughh... I actually have 2 that really bug me. The first is people who chew ice. I don't know why but that gets me EVERYTIME. The second is people who eat loudly. Loud chewing or crunching their chips. Try living with 2 little boys that think it's funny to crunch and a hubby who will sometimes chew ice. Drives me crazy. what are your favorite websites? There are so many but I'm more of a thrift kinda girl so I spend a lot of time on Ebay, Etsy, Ruby Lane and Shopgoodwill.com what is your dream job? I would love to be able to make a living doing everything I love. Make nail polish, paint mermaids and shop. Dreams come true? Right? what would people be surprised to learn about you? People who know me but have never met me in person are ALWAYS surprised at how short I am .. 4' 8".. I'm not short.. I'm "fun-sized". LOL

Favorite photographer to work with: I have been honored with working with several talented photographers so I couldn’t possibly choose just one!
Artist/Photographer/location of featured photo(s): Artisit: H.A.R.D Photography/MUAH: H.A.R.D Photography/ Location: Santa Cruz, Ca- Beach Boardwalk
Tell me about your featured photo(s). When were they taken? Why are they your favorite? This shoot was done earlier in the year and I just loved it!! Was able to play around on the carousel and took a walk on the sandy beach and I think the photographer was able to catch my true personality in these shots. You can see the curvy classy vixen who is just trying to have fun and that is me all the way!
How long have you been modeling/enjoying photography? I actually began modeling back in January of this year after I competed for Mrs. California Plus America 2013 as Mrs. Stockton Plus 2013 and was awarded the Directors Choice Award. And let me just say I love every second of it and this has been an amazing journey so far!
Who are your favorite Pinup Models? Past or present inspiration? Marilyn Monroe is a great fashion icon for me, Bettie Paige for her fierceness, Dita Von Tesse enough said, Rita Hayworth and Elizabeth Taylor are always my go to ladies when I am in need of some timeless and classy inspiration, and Tess Munster not only for being a plus size model but for her unique fashion sense as well as her body acceptance advocacy.
What is some of your favorite clothing lines? Favorite Designers? Oh goodness there are quite a few but here are just a couple: Pinup Girl Clothing, Torrid, Unique Vintage, Ashley Stewart, Corset Verity Styles designs all of my corsets, IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel *was over the moon when I was able to participate in one of her fashion events*, SWAK Designs and Domino Dollhouse. There are so many wonderful and talented designers out there!!
If you could shoot with any photographer, past or present, who would it be? Hmm Current photographers would include Yellow Bubbles Photography, Hugo V Photography, Kat Attack Photography and Javier Padilla.
What is your favorite color and why? Hard for me to choose but I would have to say red. Red is fabulous on the lips, flattering to wear on the body, and who doesn’t love a sexy red heel? Red can bring your whole look to a whole new level if used correctly.
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who would it be? There are so many creative, intelligent and interesting people out there past and present that this question truly had me stumped but I would say Tess Munster. As a plus model that is just starting to make a name for myself it would be wonderful to sit down and spend some time with someone of Tess’s caliber who has shown nothing but strength and grace in the face of adversity in an industry less than accepting of plus size women.
How did you get your model name? Well the Stroud part is the easiest as that part of my name came from my husband now Kat on the other hand is a different story! I am genuinely a sweet and outgoing person but I am also a feisty short little thing (only 5’1) that likes to have fun…much like a kitten so back in high school a lot of my friends began to call me Kat and it just stuck. Having a fierce and balanced walk like a cat was just a coincidence.
