How did you get your model name? Boulette is my mother's maiden name. I've always thought it sounded so romantic and mysterious, so it makes a wonderful pinup name

Thankful Thursday (My Favorites)

Let's talk about achieving.  There is nothing more satisfying than achieving a goal. Nothing.

I have also been a goal setter, list maker, type-A personality.  For as long as I can remember I have been writing stuff down, simple because I like checking things off.  A good day for me mean that at the end of it, my list is completely crossed off.  I will admit, some days very little gets done.  My goals are not met, and sometimes it upsets me.  However, I know that I have another day to get those things done, and achieve what I set out to do the day before.

Some of my goals are personal lifestyle goals, some of my goals are "dream" goals, and some of the are as small as put on spf everyday.  I don't think overloading yourself is ever a good idea, and that is hard for me to say, because I always overload myself, and others with things that need to be done, should be done, or just plain 'why have you not finished this yet' and that in itself is a goal of mine; to learn to say no, learn to moderate my goals.

Is there something big that you have achieved, or perhaps are on the brink of achieving?  Do you set goals that are attainable, or goals that seem far fetched?

Nearly Famous Pinup Wednesday ~ Meredith Grace

Meredith Grace // Facebook // Tumblr

Age: 25

Occupation: Pet Sitter, Volunteer, Housewife

Where are you from: I grew up in Dallas, PA, lived in Hawaii for three
years, and now I'm based in Virginia

Favorite photographer to work with: Given that I've just moved, I'll
say my favorite from each area. Amanda Hamilton was my girl in Hawaii
and so far I have a few favorites in Virginia. Gregory Hodges, Darwin
Alberto, and Anna Marie Keenan.

Artist/Photographer/location of featured photo(s):
1.) Amanda Hamilton Photography, Oahu HI
2.) Amanda Hamilton Photography, Barber's Point, Oahu HI
3.) Hungry Eye Photography, Oahu HI
4.) Hungry Eye Photography, Oahu HI
5.) Darwin Alberto Photography, Hampton Roads VA
6.) AMK Photography, Hampton Roads VA

Tell me about your featured photo(s). When were they taken? Why are
they your favorite? They've all been taken within the past year. I
moved from Hawaii to Virginia in October, and the bathing suit photo
was the last shoot I did in Hawaii. Goodness, it was so hard to
choose! I try to give a good variety when I share images. The red
picture with my husband's shotgun really highlights my eyes, and the
blue bathing suit shot is just so incredibly epic that I want everyone
to see it! Haha Amanda did an amazing job with that whole series. I
included my photos with Marc Orbito of Hungry Eye because they're some
of my best cheesecakes, and I will take any chance to include my cat
in anything. The last two were taken recently. I'm blown away with
Darwin's shots and so happy because that modern yet retro, evil queen
feeling was exactly what I was going for. The final one was a lot of
fun and really expressive of my personality. I'm quite the nerd.

How long have you been modeling/enjoying photography? I started
modeling at the beginning of 2012 and realized that I absolutely love
it. I was shocked, honestly. My major in college was a mix of graphic
design, photography, and television production so I'm very comfortable
with being a techie and hiding from the camera. I've been enjoying
photography since middle school. Having that past is very helpful when
it comes to posing and planning out my outfits and props.

Who are your favorite Pinup Models? Past or present inspiration? At
risk of coloring my nose brown, Katty Delux is one of my favorites and
my inspiration. I love her positive attitude and compassion. I also
adore Betty Chantel and Micheline Pitt. And, of course, there is my
pinup bestie Kristina Paulk.

What is some of your favorite clothing lines? Favorite Designers? My
favorite clothing lines are Pinup Girl Clothing, Trashy Diva, and now
Betty Le Bonbon. They all have wonderfully unique things. Pinup Girl
Clothing is how I first got into the pinup world. I had read a book by
Lily Burana, friended her on facebook, saw beautiful posts of some
pictures, liked that photographer's page who happened to be Laura
Byrnes, and that brought me to her clothing line! Oh I was sold
immediately and everything has changed for the better since.

If you could shoot with any photographer, past or present, who would
it be? Celeste Giuliano, hands down.

What is your favorite color and why? Oh goodness, this changes daily.
It's typically a water tone, but on some days I'm all about hot pink
or red, haha. Usually I just go with teal since it's a mix of blue and
green which are my top two. They're so pretty and calming.

If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who would it be?
My grandma, Dorothea. She died years before I was born. There are
stories of her love of shoes and pictures of her dressing up for when
my grandpa went off to boot camp and also when he came home. She
sounds a lot like me and I think we could have really bonded over
clothes! I'd also love to meet with Audrey Hepburn. She is so
beautiful in spirit.

How did you get your model name? My model name isn't a big change of
my real name. I love my first name, Meredith, so I really didn't want
to drop it. Grace is my middle name, the name of my great aunt, and
Grace Kelly was absolutely divine so I thought using that as a second
name would be quite fitting.

PopSugar Must Have Box #9

Box number 9 was looking fine!  I know, I am such a dork sometimes.  Honestly though, it was a good one.  Some of the items in the box I have wanted to a while, so it was like a self fulfilling prophecy.

If you haven't signed up yet, you should! For $35, you get over $100 worth of products, plus if you use the link below, you will get $5 off your first order!

Use this link to get $5 off your first month.

Must Have Beauty ~ Supergoop! Sunscreen
One look at me, and you know that sunscreen is my best friend!  I wear it all the time, and never turn down the chance to try a new kind.  SPF 30 is the perfect amount of sun blocking power.  The name makes it sound messy, but it really isn't. I think I may have found a new favorite brand!

Must Have Beauty ~ NCLA As If! Nail Polish
The name of this polish alone, As If!, would have sold it!  I am a huge clueless fan, so that was point number one.  The color is a gorgeous and I am planning on taking it with me to my next pedicure.  Besides, who doesn't love a smoky lavender?

Must Have Food ~ Mighty Leaf Ginger Peach Iced Tea
I haven't tried this yet, but if you have be around me long enough, you know that I love me some iced tea.  Nothing is more perfect than a huge glass of iced tea on a hot summer day.  The only thing better is when it is peach!  Iced tea is always a good pick for me!

Must Have Food ~ Hannahmax Dark Chocolate Chip Crunchy Cookie Chips
These lasted about 2 seconds.  They seriously snacked like potato chips, but tasted like a delicious, buttery cookie.  Yum-o, yum-o, yum.

Must Have Home ~ Tovolo King Cube Ice Tray
This may be totally dumb, but I have wanted one of these for a long time.  The tray is silicon, making it easy to remove the ice, but also you can make HUGE ice cubes.  Like one cube would be plenty for one glass.  I love it!

Okay this is my jam.  I mean if you are going to wear a necklace, why not make it a rose gold chain that is huge! I love statement pieces and was so glad to get this in my July Box.  I am usually not a necklace person, because I have a large chest piece tattoo, but if and when I wear one, I want it to be a statement.  The rose gold is totally on point right now, and I can't wait to wear this up right!

What do you think of this haul? Did you like all the items? Have you subscribed to PopSugar Must Have?

Stay Sweet,

Thankful Thursday (My favorites)

I think most people know that saying.  In fact, I think most people have heard that saying, or perhaps have even said it to themselves when the going gets hard.

What I wanted to write about today is Serenity.  To find peace, or tranquility, has got to be one of the hardest things in the world.  I often look at people and think, do they really have it together or are the about to crack, under the surface.

I have always been one of those surface people.  On the outside, I like to think, I keep it together.  But usually on the inside I am stressed, shaken, tired, unsure, and a bit broken.  What I like to remind myself of is, even though I have a lot to be worried about, I should find a place of serenity each and every day.

It is hard to quite ones mind.  My mind never seems to shut down, especially when I am trying to relax. If you have read Eat, Pray, Love, the part that made me laugh was when she was trying to learn to meditate.  I could relate to this because my mind just keeps going.

Even thought I posted a quote that is a direction toward a god, I don't have many spiritual or religious beliefs anymore.  This is not a religious post, nor am I trying to stir up that conversation.  Whether you believe in a higher power, or not, I do believe that everyone should find a quite moment to get closer to knowing serenity.

This notion, I think, is not one where you can constantly live.  The reason I say that is because, well, life happens.  Life is chaotic and messy and the opposite of serene, that is why I think it feels so good to look towards it.  I look on it like a comfortable bed, or a listening ear.  Something where I can let go of the daily grind, and just feel good in the quite.

I am thankful for serenity.  I am thankful when I get a moment to reflect.
