I'm located in the Southwestern part of Ohio. I'm sandwiched in between 2 cities & love that I'm far enough away from both so at night, the stars really stand out.
How did you get your store started?
Friends told me about etsy & that I should start up a shop to sell my crafts.
What inspires you?
I find inspiration all around me everyday. On sunny days I wake up inspired by the little rainbows created by crystals dangling in my bedroom window. Sometimes my little girl asks me to make her something & that can spark a flood of inspiration to do various things. I have a pet house bunny named Yuki, & the love I have for her has overflown into much of my work over the past year. Sometimes I'll hear a good song that just puts me in a creative mood... it could be anything really, and you never know when inspiration will strike. I keep a sketchbook with me at all times.
How long have you been open and what is some of your favorite items?
I've been crafting with resin for over a decade, but only have been on etsy since 2008. Some of my favorite items over the years have been my Halloween & Christmas/winter holiday lines. I'm always working on new designs keeping things fresh & fun! There's all my creepy cute ghostly pumpkin glitter hearts & big dome rings & then snowflake rings, little deer walking in a winter wonderland necklaces & rings.
What celebrity would you most like to wear your items?
Sharon Osbourne & Katy Perry ...I know they'd really love my sparkly & sweet-looking resin jewelry!
If you had to use only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Not having enough time to do all the things I dream up. I have dozens of projects going at any given time & they're usually in various stages of being created. I go where the inspiration takes me...sometimes I'll be knitting something & then have the urge to draw, which may lead me to embroidering what I was drawing.
I'm doing it right now... having the little treasures I make right here in my home touch people's lives all over the world while I get to be a full time mom to my kids. I couldn't dream up a better job than that. I get such a kick out of making something one evening here in my little house in Ohio while the kids are asleep, & having it sell to someone halfway around the world. That's pretty cool.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
They would be surprised to find out although I have designed tattoos & do line art, that I have not yet settled on a design to have inked on my body.
