Umba Box Review ~ #1

A sweet friend of mine, Megan, purchased me the gift of Umba Box for my birthday.  She know how much I love getting mail, and my affinity for hand made treasures!

This was the most thoughtful gift, and certainly a favorite of mine!

If you are not familiar with Umba Box, let me introduce you.  It is along the lines of several other monthly subscription mailers (BirchBox, Stitch Fix, etc) but it is filled with handmade treasures!

We absolutely adore handmade goods, but have found many handmade marketplaces to be frustrating and difficult to find beautiful and high-quality products. In October 2011 we decided to take the hassle out of shopping handmade and launched Umba Box. We provide consumers with a better way to get their hands on beautiful handmade products.
We scour the handmade community to find the freshest handmade goods from a wide variety of categories including home goods, women's accessories, jewelry, stationery, and bath products. We package our collections and send subscribers delightful collection of handmade goods. Umba Box offers month-to-month and 3, 6, or 12 month prepaid subscriptions beginning at just $23/month that give subscribers a gift that can be shared or used to spoil themselves.
One month the Umba Box may include one large item and the next month it could be three smaller items. While the total value of the products fluctuates ever-so-slightly, we promise to deliver at least $25 in handmade goods each month.
We are passionate about handmade products and the connections that can be forged between consumers and artists. We shine a light on handmade products by including a story about the artist in each Umba Box. Ultimately, Umba Box is special because of the insight each subscriber gains into the lives of artisans.

My first box contained two handmade bath items and a very cute fabric hair band.

The bath products are from Provenance Soap Works by Carolyn.  She is based out of St. Charles MO (local love!) and as soon as I opened the package was greeted with a wonderful minty smell! I know I am going to love this stuff!

The hair band is so adorable and can be worn so many different ways!  The company is Vintage Rose Wraps.  So cute, and I can't wait to order a few more!

Stay Sweet,
Kem
